CARS
REFLECTION:
This project was really interesting. I am not knowledgeable when it comes to cars, but I gained an abundant amount of information about cars. I was able to use access to put all of the information in a specific order. NETS-T (1) Faciliate and Inspire students learning and creativity was the NETS-T standard that teachers can use while working on this project. Students are able to learn through the use of access. Access inspires students to gain information in order to properly organize the information. This project overall depicted this standard in many ways.

Brockton
This assignment was very fun, because I enjoyed letting everyone know about my experience in Brockton. Overall even though Brockton was a tad bit deserted, the people around made the experience worthwhile. This project took a lot of thinking because I went to Brockton a least a couple of years ago. I enjoyed thinking about the experience I had because it was essentially a positive time with my family. The NETS.T standard that my project incorporated was NETS-(1) Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity. Through the use of google earth, I was able to faciliate my experience with my classmates. They can learn about Brockton, MA, while they are able to locate it on google earth. (3) Model Digital-Age work and learning, Students are able to learn a different area, while being able to navigate through google earth. Through NETS(3) students are able to learn about a particular area, while being able to physically see the location.

Field Trip Letter
Reflection:
This project allowed me to gain much needed information on how to incorporate technology in my classroom. I enjoyed this project because it also allowed me find different ways to stimulate my students in the future. I found out that there are many different learning tools that are apart of coming up with a fieldtrip letter, test and even announcements. This project allowed me to the meet the standards of NETS.T by 5, 3, and 2. The 5 standard which was to enable effective communication, allowed me to convey my main point of the field trip letter. The 3 standard engage my audience. The 2 standard which allowed personalized learning through the use of digital media.

Philosophy statement
Vanessa Dossous 9/17/2009
Dr. Wang Edu 203 Philosophy Statement
An effective teacher would have to be an individual that is patient, understanding, knowledgeable, and caring. A teacher has to acknowledge that every child not matter what race, gender, or religion has the right to an education. In looking back to when I was younger, my teacher was my facilitator as well as a motivator. They opened your eyes to the world around you, and to the information that was out there that you never knew about.
It is the main objective of a teacher to embrace every different learning style. As an effective teacher you have to understand there are many different learning styles. Many students may be visual learners and others maybe hands-on. It is the job of the teacher to determine, what learning style will work for the majority of the class. The different learning styles may derive from the student’s background and culture at home. The teacher in this case would have to be accommodating to the needs of the student.
The classroom and school environment plays a major role in teaching and learning. The school setting should be comfortable and accommodating to every students needs. Students should feel safe and secure at school, because they spend most of their time beside at home in a classroom setting. The school environment should be related by administrators, which include setting roles and regulations that should be followed by everyone. This ensures the safety of both students and facilitators. The classroom setting should include materials that are going to be useful for every student. The main utility that is used in many classrooms today is some form of technology. Technology today is more advanced than ever before.
Technology in the classroom is most effective, when used properly. All faculty members should be trained on the right way to use computers, smart boards and projectors. This ensures that all students are being taught efficiently and correctly. It also limits the amount of time teachers; have to stop due to not knowing the proper way to use different materials in the classroom.
As a teacher I would incorporate a lot of hands-on activities. I feel students tend to learn better if they are about to deal with the material hands-on. I would also incorporate a lot of technology into my classroom. I would have students do more projects using Excel and PowerPoint, so they begin to familiarize themselves with it. As a teacher I would want to make sure all of my students all receive the same education, and become very successful individuals in the future.
